So my last post was questioning why people, including myself, care so much about their toys. Well, I never even got a chance to get ON the wagon after that post b/c I’ve been drooling about getting a Macbook since. Hypocritical? Absolutely. Does that stop me? Doubtful, if I get my sight on something, I usual find a way to get it.
So I’ve tried to get a Mac in the past but as luck would have it, I think I got the 1 lemon in the bunch b/c it ran horribly slow and didn’t work right, so we returned it.
But since then, Apple’s Bootcamp has come out and my desire to run a Mac for not only video, music stuff but also development work (using Textmate) is making me crazy. Besides, don’t they just look cool?
So the question is, Macbook or Macbook Pro? I’m REALLY attempting to keep costs down so I think my choice is pretty easy but I’m using a Dell 700m laptop right now w/ a 12″ screen and feel like I don’t have enough screen real estate so I’m stumped. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated it. I hear to go with at least a 1GB of RAM, anything else you’d suggest?
I’ve been staring at them all day long, SO….HARD….TO….RESIST!
