Idea Factory | Dating meets MySpace meets Amazon?
November 14, 2006
After my previous post on sharing ideas I thought it would be fun/therapeutic to share some of the wacky ideas that pop up in my head on a semi-often basis and just throw them out here. And feel free to run with them if you’d like.
Disclaimer: By no means do I mean that these ideas are financial viable, sustainable, or even worth a crap. Also, there is a distinct possibility that these ideas are already out in the wild and I just didn’t know about them. So what is stated is something that I haven’t seen to date. So take’em or leave’em.
Lately I’ve been doing quite a bit of research on collective intelligence. Trying to wrap my head around how people utilize ‘the collective’ to make decisions and it got me thinking:
What if there was a site out that would be a central point that could track your ’suitability as a partner or friend’ where your previous relationships (boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse, long lost friend, etc.) could go and ‘review you’. Talk about what you were like in a variety of different topics (Friendship, romance, how handy you are, as a lover?). Would anyone want a site like that to even exist? Maybe integrating with a Match.com to allow ‘highly rated’ candidates get more dates?
All I know, I’m glad I’m already married.
